Our Story
HAWMA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity registered in the state of Virginia that has worked tirelessly for over 30 years to provide quality education to underprivileged students in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. This mission began in 1993, when a group of like-minded professionals and technocrats in the Washington Metro area came together to form HAWMA as a driving force for advancing education in Hyderabad. Over the years, we also recognized a deep desire within the Hyderabadi diaspora to celebrate and preserve the proud legacy and rich heritage of Hyderabad in the country they now call home.
